It’s the kind of spot where the comforting aroma of fresh-baked bagels mingles with the faint scent of warm pizza, crafting an inviting atmosphere that welcomes both early risers and midday diners alike. The space stretches comfortably, with enough room to accommodate families, solo visitors, and those grabbing a quick bite on the go, creating a quietly bustling yet unhurried vibe.
At Sammy’s, breakfast is more than a routine—it’s a chance to customize your start. Whether you’re drawn to a classic bagel adorned with cheese or eggs, a creative salad crafted just for you, or even a slice of deep dish pizza that whispers of faraway city streets, the menu encourages personal tastes and unexpected pairings. There’s a lively curiosity in the mix of flavors, from spicy fries to mint mocha lattes, that hints at a broader culinary story while honoring local favorites.
The rhythm here reflects a community space that wears its experience openly—sometimes a bit slow behind the bagel counter, quick with pizza, and always welcoming in its own unpolished way. It’s a place where overcoming a little confusion at the entrance or the ebb and flow of service becomes part of the shared story, a reminder that authenticity often comes with small imperfections.

It's a good bagel place; the food is tasty. The juices are a bit pricey, and I noticed the guy added water to the orange juice. When I asked why, he said he didn't have any more oranges. There are a few things to improve. If they charge almost $7 for orange juice, I'd expect pure orange. The service is a bit slow in the bagel area, but good in the pizza area. Otherwise, it's a good place.

Great good. Long wait though. Really fresh and delicious and they totally personalise your salad. Awesome spicy fries and really crunchy mozzarella sticks. Lots of order options. Everything tastes so fresh! You can eat in or take out. Convenient New Jersey eating but parking isn’t always easy. Delicious food.

Review by my happy kids: We had a great time overall! The food was great; they had a lot of options. No matter if your kid wants a varied experience or a delicious meal, this place is right for you. The service was quite good; we got things quickly, They were very nice. The atmosphere was okay; it was a big area. They had a high chair for the baby and a bathroom. (Two bathrooms ) ------------------ (Wrote this all without parental guidance!)

Food was good, however the 2 ladies behind the bagel counter was very rude to an older couple, who happen to be our kids grandparents. Yelling at them, after they messed up our order, tossed the bagels in the garbage forcefully, to the point we felt uncomfortable ordering. We had to step away for a min to calm them down and ordered again, this time more simple to not get the ladies upset. Please note, 1. It was not busy when we were ordering. 2. If you are elderly and or have a any hearing issues make sure you write down your order so they do not get flustered.

It’s not a NY bagel but it’s good. Tried and true and been in the area forever for good reason. For the non-Teaneck person ordering and picking up your order can be confusing as there are two entry options and when you order at the bagel side you need to go to the other side to pick up breakfast options. It can be super confusing.
